BOTOX for Cervical Dystonia

Cervical Dystonia, also known as spasmodic torticollis, is a painful condition where the neck muscles contract involuntarily, causing the head to twist or turn to one side. Botox injections are a mainstay of treatment for this condition. By injecting Botox directly into the affected muscles, the neurotoxin helps relax these muscles and alleviates the abnormal head position and the pain associated with it. The treatment can significantly improve quality of life, although its often repeated every few months as the effects wear off.
